Casablanca will host an important meeting dedicated to digital solutions in the agricultural field in Morocco and other countries, especially in Africa. This is AgriTech, whose first edition is scheduled from 24 to 27 of this month of September and which aims to promote technologies applied to agricultural sectors, including arboriculture, horticulture, field crops, market gardening, viticulture, livestock, but also fishing. According to the organizers, the event will allow for a full-scale testing of innovative digital solutions to respond to the concrete problems faced by African farmers.
This event, organized by NGE Impact and Valeur Tech, is aimed at actors, experts and professionals who gravitate around the agricultural sector in Morocco and the rest of the African continent. Thus, in addition to French and African high-tech start-ups, agricultural champions, institutions, researchers and trainers are expected to attend this event, it is indicated.
These participants will exchange, for four days, on the current concerns related to the theme of the event. It is mainly the SAT image, IoT (Internet of Things), drones, software, robots, equipment and other intelligent machines. Discussions will also focus on the analysis of crop profitability, the contribution of available technologies, via sessions, in addition to field visits, but also Talks and B2B meetings.
The debate on these solutions will include their contribution in the management of irrigation, fertilizers, reduction of pesticides, including through spraying drones, soil analysis tools, control of plant diseases, new modes of resilient crops and leasing models of agricultural equipment.
